This is not complicated to make, it just takes a little planning…. I didn’t plan, I didn’t wait all the necessary time and these little cutties were very good…. crunchy, tasty and morish! if you don’t feel like cleaning the house, just make some Orange and Chocolate Hearts http://wp.me/p2yE2e-uW instead of waiting. They’re delicious too.
Get you butter out of the fridge a while before you start, or soften it up a bit in the microwave. (250 grams)
you’ll need some of that icing sugar… I didn’t have any so I made some by putting normal granulated sugar in the blender and making it soft and powdery
You’ll need 250 grams of that.
Get back to the butter. Whisk it around to soften it
Add the icing sugar little by little as you mix
Add 2 spoonfusl of vanilla essence
and 1 egg whites
Add a pinch of salt, flour (400 grams) and Corn Flour (50 grams) – all through a sieve
And when you can’t mix anymore with the machine, you start with your fingers.
Make a ball and flatten it, cover it in cling film and leave that dough in the fridge for about 2 hours. (I didn’t) I just got on with making orange and chocolate hearts biscuits http://wp.me/p2yE2e-uW… while that dough hardened in the fridge.
Once that dough is hard, make some balls and then some cylinders:
Leave the cylinders in the fridge for a couple of hours
Once you have your cylinders hard, get them out,
Flatten them and make some sort of rectangle or something similar to this:
Cover that with Nutella
When you’ve rolled all your cylinders, you cover them in cling film and bung them in the fridge for about 2 hours or more
Cut them out in slices:
Place on a baking tray
This is a great recipe to make combining Orange and Chocolate Hearts… that way, you don’t waste so much http://wp.me/p2yE2e-uW
